Full Time

The Feed Mill Manager will be responsible for managing the production and delivery of high quality feed to all Son-D-Farms pig sites. The Feed Mill Manager will oversee all feed mill activities and staff management. The Feed Mill Manager must be able to cultivate positive and productive working relationships with mill staff and other management. Will work with the VP of Grain Production to identify ways to improve production and workflow. Expected to attend any training functions and meetings. The manager will be responsible for presenting regular progress reports and any improvements that can be made at meetings. Responsible for maintenance and repair of mill site: legs, drags, bin fans, grinder, mixer, feed truck and semi maintenance, corn dryer and calibrating feed bins. Candidate must have 2 years experience working in a feed mill and proficient computer skills.

Tasks may include: Fabricate and assemble metal structures and equipment; Repair and/or produce metal products; Operate and maintain welding equipment; Comply with company safety measures by wearing safety goggles, helmet and gloves.

The Farm Maintenance position requires general knowledge of electricity, plumbing and carpentry. The Farm Maintenance worker will be working in and around hog units, fixing motor fans and controllers, barn gating doors and feed equipment.

The Truck Driver will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of farm products to and from various farm sites such as: pigs, grain and feed products. No CDL required. Must have experience driving semi-tractor and trailer.

The Swine Technician will work with the sow barn team to meet weekly targets. They will do tasks such as feeding, checking water, administering shots, moving pigs and record-keeping. The Swine Technician will be responsible for following all safety protocols.

The Crop Production Manager will be responsible for spraying, combining and seed, chemical and fertilizer purchasing. The ideal candidate would be able to operate crop technology such as EZ500, Ag Leader Insight and navigation units. Other responsibilities include syncing field maps in SMS and entering seed, chemical and fertilizer purchases into the accounting program. Manager will be responsible for maintaining all farm equipment.

The Mechanic will work in the shop and will perform thorough maintenance on farm vehicles, machinery and other equipment. They will conduct repairs and trouble shoot reported problems.
